Roots and Greens

Extend your gardening season into late fall and early winter! Plant vegetables like lettuce, spinach, kale, Swiss chard, beets, radishes, leeks, and carrots for a bountiful winter harvest. There is still time to plant leafy greens and root crops that mature in 50 days or less in your garden or growing space. For longer maturing varieties, you’ll want to plant these in a garden tunnel for extra protection, to have fresh produce available into early winter.
