Chesapeake is an outstanding bell pepper that performs well in protected and open air settings. The plants are indeterminate and continuously set fruit up the stem for a long, continuous harvest. Chesapeake is a classic market bell pepper, if slightly on the petite side, and produces more fruit than comparable varieties. Fruit are blocky and four-lobed, with smooth, thick walls and a rapid and uniform color change from green to bright red.
