Hosta Sagae

Hosta Sagae

Item #
A stunning sight! Large, thick, nearly triangular leaves are frosted blue-green. Leaves have wavy, yellow margins which turn creamy-white with more sun. Grey-green streaks are painted in the area between the center and the margin. The early spring foliage color resembles that of H. 'June'. Forms an impressive semi-upright mound of beautiful, slug-resistant foliage. Makes a lovely specimen in the shade garden. Large, lavender flowers appear on 38-50" scapes in early to midsummer. Formerly known as H. fluctuans 'Variegated'. A well-deserved leader in the popularity polls. Hostas are exceedingly popular perennials in today's gardens due to their versatility in the landscape. Their subtle colors, tall flower scapes, and broad, coarse leaves fill a niche in garden designs that few other plants can achieve. Their large leaves provide excellent coverage for dying bulb foliage. Hostas also grow well in city environments where the air may be polluted by car exhaust, etc.
