Thornless Boysenberry is a trailing plant that requires a trellis. Its rapidly growing 5 to 6' long canes produce rich, luscious, wine colored berries, and with no thorns, they are easy to pick. The boysenberry plant grows horizontally compared to the erect habit of most blackberries, and can be tied to supports or wires to limit their trailing habit. It requires winter protection where temperatures fall below 5° F. Self-pollinating. Trailing. Thornless. Hardiness zones 4-9.
