The vibrant dark violet-blue flowers of Magnificum have dark-blue veins. It is often called the "showy" geranium, and is a stand-out in any collection of Crane's Bill. It forms a mound of deeply-cut green foliage, bearing masses of large 2"cup-shaped flowers. It rates as among the best of the blue forms and will tolerate the dry heat of the southwest, but does not like the humid heat of the southeast. It is a sterile hybrid that grows only where it is planted. Plants need to be cut back hard after blooming to encourage fresh new foliage. Often has attractive red fall color. It is great in borders, cottage, or native gardens.
